ATLANTA—The SCAD exhibitions department presents “
Fuel to the Fire: The Poster Design of Methane Studios,” which showcases the recent, screen-printed posters by award-winning Methane partners Robert Lee and Mark McDevitt. Based in Atlanta since 1998, the duo has a client list that includes a veritable “who’s who” of today’s bands—from the Dave Matthews Band to Vampire Weekend—and popular local concert venues. Methane’s practice seamlessly marries their distinctive, vintage aesthetic with each client’s needs, and translates into unique art prints also on display.
“We are honored and excited to be exhibiting at such a well respected school for art and design. Our experiences in art school shaped us into the designers and illustrators we are today. To have our work presented in such a venue that thrives on creativity and vision is a special thrill and a dream come true for us,” said Robert Lee, founding partner of Methane Studios.
The exhibition will be on display at Gallery See, SCAD Atlanta, 1600 Peachtree St., Sept. 8-Oct. 1. The exhibition, reception and artist lecture are free and open to the public.
