HONG KONG—SCAD, the most comprehensive art and design university in the world, will host an information session for local students and parents to learn more about SCAD Hong Kong and how the university will prepare students for creative, professional careers.
The SCAD Hong Kong information session is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27, 1 p.m. at The Mira Hotel, 118 Nathan Rd., Tsim Sha Tsui. Representatives from the SCAD Hong Kong admission department will discuss SCAD academic programs, admission requirements and the selection process, tuition waiver opportunities, and art and design career options. A portfolio overview session will be offered as well. The information session is free and open to the public, though registration is preferred. Visit

SCAD Hong Kong will open in September 2010. Courses of study are registered with the Hong Kong Bureau of Education and include advertising, animation, graphic design, illustration, interactive design and game development, motion media design, photography, and visual effects. The university will offer bachelor’s and master’s degrees, pending U.S. approval by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
