SAVANNAH, Ga.–The Savannah College of Art and Design presents a gallery hop Friday, Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m., and invites the community to attend a selection of current exhibitions. Refreshments will be provided in select galleries, and free shuttles run between all stops. Participants may join the gallery hop at any of the gallery locations. The event is free and open to the public.

“Point of Entry” explores the reciprocal relationship between art and architecture, featuring sculptural works by Scott Ingram and Lucy Williams and photographs by Josef Schulz.
“Vision Building: Architecture in Contemporary Photography”
Gutstein Gallery, 201 E. Broughton St.
Reception: Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m.
“Vision Building” includes the work of artists Abrie Fourie, Dionisio González, Naoki Honjo, Candida Höfer and Catherine Opie. These artists expand upon visual perspectives in contemporary photography by portraying a range of architectural styles via micro and macro points of view.
"NO LAB On Tour" Exhibition by Cao Fei and Map Office

In “NO Lab” renowned Chinese multimedia artist Cao Fei teams up with Hong-Kong-based Map Office co-founders Laurent Gutierrez and Valerie Portefaix to create a unique experience of New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina in the online virtual community, Second Life. Fei depicts the storm surge and the devastating aftermath through a stark, politically charged multimedia presentation.

shopSCAD, 340 Bull St.
SCAD alumna Katherine Sandoz (M.F.A., illustration, 1997; M.F.A., painting, 2006) paints Savannah-inspired, coastal landscapes in her "Petit Gauke" series of small works. Fueled by her romance with the act of painting, Sandoz’ abstract landscapes add a taste of luxury to everyday life. With an affinity for portraiture and landscapes, her paintings have hung in galleries throughout the United States and Europe.
