International CAPP: A Cultural and Academic Preparation Program

Get a head start at International CAPP in Savannah

A Cultural and Academic Preparation Program for new students

New international students have an opportunity to get an early start on settling into their new home away from home in the United States and at SCAD's Savannah location through International CAPP, a four-week pre-orientation summer program. International CAPP in Savannah offers instruction in English as a second language, as well as themed coursework providing an introduction to life in the United States, Savannah and especially SCAD.

At the end of the program, international students are well prepared for the ESL placement test, which is administered during fall orientation. Students also become familiar with SCAD Savannah and the surrounding community before their classes begin, allowing them to adjust more easily and focus fully on beginning their academic and artistic journey toward a creative career.

The SCAD Savannah CAPP experience includes trips to Atlanta, the Ocoee and Hiwassee rivers and Charleston, South Carolina.
