Student Media


 District logo

District is an online award-winning, editorially independent news source published for and by SCAD students in Savannah.

District is a member of the Associated Collegiate Press and the Center for Innovation in College Media. Students may participate as reporters, editors, designers, photographers, illustrators and sequential artists. District also operates a Web-based television production group called DistrictTV, which provides news and entertainment programming for the District Web site.

District Quarterly, Student Media 

District Quarterly provides SCAD and its community with original work in a variety of media by SCAD students. It features nonfiction, and fiction essays, poetry, sequential art, illustration and photography. The different media is combined by subject and theme to create a truly refined product each quarter.

 Connector Logo

The Connector is the award-winning, editorially independent online news source published by and for SCAD students in Atlanta.

Students may participate as reporters, editors, designers, photographers, illustrators and sequential artists. The Connector is a member of the Associated Collegiate Press, the Center for Innovation in College Media and the Georgia College Press Association.

SCAD Radio logo 

SCAD Radio provides student-produced live radio programming to listeners all over the globe. The station is a member of Collegiate Broadcasters Inc. Students may participate as DJs, newscasters, reporters, producers, sound designers and voice talent.

SCAD Atlanta Radio provides student-produced radio programming to listeners all over the globe via the Internet. A student staff makes programming decisions and oversees station operation. Programming consists of music, news and specialty shows.

Students may participate as DJs, newscasters, reporters, producers, sound designers and voice talent. The station is a member of Collegiate Broadcasters Inc.

Society for Collegiate Journalists Logo 

In Atlanta and Savannah, the Society for Collegiate Journalists hosts seminars and programs that teach the ethics, techniques and mechanics of media. SCJ encourages student participation in SCAD's student media groups, strengthens student publishing and broadcasting, and promotes understanding and support of freedom of student expression, including freedom of speech and press for all college students.
