Stop-motion artist PES was highlight at Inspire 08
Since winning the Best First Film Award at the Annecy Animation Film Festival in 2002, PES has become one of the most sought after stop-motion directors in the world. Best known for his animation with objects, his short films have been viewed millions of times online and have garnered multiple plaudits and awards across a broad spectrum of publications, festivals and groups. PES's work has appeared in The Animation Show and RESFest; the New York Times, Time Out, Print Magazine and Wired, and on the front pages of youtube, boing boing and metafilter. He also directs television commercials for clients including Bacardi, Diesel, Sprint, Orange Telecom, Playstation, and Coinstar. PES is represented by ICM and Anonymous Content.

The Inspirational Lineup
The Inspire 08 lineup included presentations by top creatives from highly regarded firms Troika Design Group, Digital Kitchen, Brand New School and Psyop, along with award- winning independent artists and animators.
Sessions covered a wide-range of topics from interactive motion graphics and the art of main-title design to brainstorming techniques, experimental and fine art animation.
A cocktail reception for the speakers and award nominees followed the daytime sessions at Red Gallery. Then it was back to the big screen at Trustees Theater for Stash Magazine’s Best of Motion Graphics Show. The night ended with the Inspire 08 Awards and followed by the After Party, both hosted by (mt) Media Temple.
