Be sure to pick up your Parents and Family Weekend packet so you don't miss anything.

8 p.m.
Films in Forsyth
Forsyth Park
Grab your blanket and head over to Forsyth Park for a screening of "Toy Story 3" under the stars. The film will begin at dusk, around 8 p.m. If you are in town Thursday, April 28, we will be screening "Goonies" at Forsyth Park beginning at dusk.

Take this opportunity to learn how SCAD is shaping the future of your student through an informative presentation and question and answer session led by Vice President for Student Success Phil Alletto and Chief Academic Officer Tom Fisher.

Noon to 2 p.m.
Picnic lunch in Forsyth Park
Parents tent in Forsyth Park
A boxed lunch and gift is available to each paid registrant of Parents and Family Weekend. Student guides and shuttles will be provided to walk or transport guests from Trustees Theater to Forsyth Park. Don't forget your walking shoes. Professors and career and alumni success staff will be available by the parents tent from noon to 2 p.m.

Noon to 5 p.m
30th Annual Sidewalk Arts Festival
Forsyth Park
Enjoy festival activities and chalk masterpieces in the park. Sidewalk Arts Competition winners will be announced at 4 p.m.

6-9 p.m.
"Silver & Ink" reception
River Club, 3 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
"Silver & Ink" is an annual exhibition produced by the SCAD photography department. Each year, accomplished photography faculty select the best work from among more than 500 photography students from various SCAD locations. Similar to Open Studio Night, gallery representatives will be available during the reception to facilitate purchases. Refreshments will be served.

Registration for Parents and Family Weekend is now closed. If you are unable to attend but would still like to support student scholarships, visit scad.edu/giving to make a donation of $10 or more.

Stop by Gallery See before Open Studio Night to meet your students peers and the rest of the SCAD Atlanta community.

Open Studio Night
7-9 p.m.
Fifth Floor, Building C, 1600 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta, Georgia
More than 200 original works of art by SCAD students, faculty and alumni are on display. This amazing event showcases the best in SCAD painting, photography, illustration, print making and sculpture. The event features live entertainment, hands-on demonstrations and light refreshments. All work exhibited is available for sale. Open Studio Night is open to the public, with complimentary on-site parking provided.

Saturday, Nov. 5

SCAD Atlanta Building Tour
9:30-10:30 a.m.
Gallery 1600, Second Floor, Building A, 1600 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta, Georgia
Customized tours for parents and alumni will be offered and led by current SCAD Atlanta students. Guided tours will also be available through the admission office Friday, Nov. 4, 11 a.m. To sign up for Friday tours call 877.722.3285.

Academics and Athletics Conversation and Breakfast
10:30 a.m. to noon
Gallery 1600, Second Floor, Building A, 1600 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta, Georgia
Come and enjoy a panel discussion about academics and athletics at SCAD. The panel will include former SCAD athletes, academic and athletic administrators, and a special guest moderator. SCAD Atlanta is now in its second year of intercollegiate athletic competition. Find out why SCAD's student-artists-athletes are so phenomenal.
