    Abraham Aguiar (B.F.A., computer art, 2003) wrote, "I recently left my first job to open my own FX animation company. I and 3 other people started Lightbox Studios in May 2007 and we are starting to get some interesting work done. It's funny to be on the other side of the production world, where I have to search for work, sell what we have best, deal with clients and take care of the company. But it's nice to have full creative control and sell my own work and see my own art on the screen. It's been a ride."

    Ron Alabanza (M.F.A., graphic design, 2003) lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with his wife, Deirdre. He is the operations manager for Fat Rabbit T Shirts.

    William "biL" Albright (B.F.A., illustration, 2003) wrote, "I received my Vermont State educator license while teaching middle school art to our future competition. I have been illustrating for EastCoast Snowboard Magazine and am currently building a house near Smuggler's Notch Ski resort."

    Whitney (Alcott) Okon (M.Arch., 2003) wrote, I married Alexander Okon (B.F.A., computer art, 2001) in Charleston, South Carolina, on June 30, 2007. We currently live in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, with our two dogs Izzy and Bailey. On a career note I was named to AIA's National Advisory Group board for the Committee on the Environment (COTE). COTE works to advance, disseminate, and advocate-to the profession, the building industry, the academy, and the public-design practices that integrate built and natural systems and enhance both the design quality and environmental performance of the built environment. COTE serves as the community and voice on behalf of AIA architects regarding sustainable design and building science and performance. I also serve as the vice chair of Charleston's Building Enclosure Council (BEC) and act as the national liasion between the AIA and the National Board of the Building Enclosure Council. Go SCAD!" He divides his time between work, photography and surfing. He wrote, "I've dedicated time to extending my clients outside of the office. There's also a nice network of SCAD alumni down here, so that keeps the fire going."

    Morgan Allen (B.F.A., media and performing arts, 2003) is director of finance and new media at New Dramatists in New York City. He wrote, "My wife, Heather (LeBlanc) Allen (B.F.A., media and performing arts, 2003), and I had our second child April 2012. The company's objective is to make "green" homes affordable and conducive to a variety of lifestyles and tastes. By meeting the standards of: Austin Energy Green Building Program, Energy Star and LEED we are creating a blend of all three rating systems that works with the Texas climate and clientèle."

    Nicole Baker (B.F.A., video/film, 2003) works as a freelance cinematographer in addition to her full time work at Rosen Publishing. She recently completed production of a short, 16mm film with Irish artist Louise Manifold and is currently in production on a short video piece with French artist Jacqueline Doyen. This June she will participate in the LUMEN International Video Art and Projection Festival in New York City with collaborator and partner Kirk Peterson, painter Miguel Soto and musician Mike Green of Video Daughters. She was assistant stage manager for Carnegie Mellon University's production of "Yeomen of the Guard" in October 2003.     Erin Susanne (Bennett) Banks (M.F.A., illustration, 2003) illustrated The Patchwork Path: A Quilt Map to Freedom, which won the Oppenheim award, and has been featured in Parents Magazine and the Washington Post.

    Elaine Berk (M.A., historic preservation, 2003) lives in Savannah, Georgia, and is a realtor with Coldwell Banker Greater Savannah Realty.

    Jennifer (Berndt) Perkins (B.F.A., graphic design, 2003) is married to Brodie Perkins (B.F.A., computer art, 2000) and is the director of marketing for Flournoy Companies. Jennifer wrote, " I oversee the marketing department with a staff of five and am responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for new developments, providing marketing support for all existing properties as well as continuing company wide marketing/advertising efforts."

    Robert Biniewicz (B.F.A., computer art, 2003) wrote, "I am still an animator with Paltronics, a leading developer and provider of displays and systems to the gaming industry."

    Geraldine "Gigi" Bio (B.F.A., fashion, 2003) wrote, "I have an accessory line called "Belles & Whistles" on Etsy. My photography work was also part of "Click - The Changing Faces of Brooklyn" exhibit at Brooklyn Museum in Brooklyn, New York, and also "Street & Studio - The History of Urban Photography" exhibit at Tate Modern, London, England in 2008."     Kate (Castner) Davis (M.F.A., performing arts, 2003) wrote, "I am currently working on a one woman show, Parlour Games, for the Orlando Fringe Festival, May 2008. I have also done a set design for Forest Hills High School, and have been having the best time of my life getting to know my five month old, Iris. I'm also in a band called Endless Mike and Beagle Club. I don't get to tour as much as I used to, but the band was recently in Savannah, Georgia, and they loved it."

I love teaching kids the art of sewing as well as challenging myself as a women's wear designer creating custom pieces. Fashion is my world and makes my heart smile everyday. Everyday more does are opening and I put on a fashion show benefit every year in September to raise scholarship funding for youth to attend sewing classes for free at Homewood Studios in Minneapolis, Minnesota.     Kristian Donaldson (B.F.A, sequential art, 2003) began work on a string of original comic book mini series and freelance sequential artwork projects after graduation. Publishers worked for include: Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Marvel Comics, and DC/Vertigo Comics. Kristian has been nominated for a 2006 Eisner Award for his coloring series "Supermarket" written by Brian Wood.

    Belinda Hodler (B.F.A., media and preforming arts, 2003) resides in New York City, more specifically on the beautiful outskirts in Queens. Having studied theater and costume design at SCAD, she surprisingly fell into the advertising industry, where she works for a successful branding, marketing, and PR company, called TRUST, that represents post production and VFX clients in the commercial and broadcast industry. As all New Yorkers do, Belinda had her hand in all sorts of jobs and projects; she recently came in second place in America's Next Top Glamazon, a competition to find a new member for the singing, dancing, and comedy group. The Glamazons were featured in NBC's America's Got Talent and reached the Top Ten, Belinda is now exploring the Vaudeville/Burlesque scene in New York Cityand is currently putting together her own cabaret show, hopefully showcasing the SCAD talent that exists here in this unique city.

While I was at first amazed by the beauty of the Monaco lifestyle, the IUM's first term curriculum brought me back to reality, one in which I must balance play with work. The M.B.A. group quickly became close friends and strong bonds were developed. Like SCAD, the school is quite diverse internationally. This diversity produced amazing networking opportunities for future development of interests and worldwide friendship. Even though the curriculum was quite different from the art and design field, it was a nice balance to obtain. Balancing business with design has greatly broadened the horizons of my goals."

He wrote, "We have built an online education program from the ground up which now offers almost 20 classes streamed on-demand in Flash 8. The classes are supplemented by timed PowerPoint graphics and self-scrolling closed captioning. I manage multiple editors as we record and edit these classes. I am also the main animator and compositor for the school, offering support for various video projects."

She wrote, "I recently had the amazing opportunity to work with famous documentary filmmaker, Henry Corra, on new documentary-style commercials for Fatz Cafe. Henry Corra is best known for his innovative and award-winning documentary features, "Same Sex America" (2006), "Frames" (2004), "Umbrellas" (1994) and "George" (1996), and has also been singled out as one of the foremost directors of reality-based television commercials in America. Henry and his team did an unbelievable job at capturing the stores of Fatz Cafe's 'regulars.'"

    Interview Magazine features Helado Negro, also known as Roberto Carlos Lange (B.F.A., computer art, 2003). As part of deFINE ART 2013, SCAD commissioned Lange to create "Brain Finger Composition," an interactive musical performance using Google Voice to generate audio recordings left by the SCAD community. Marron wrote, "After being the producer and director for five years at Telehit, (the largest music video channel in Latin America, owned by Televisa,) I have joined an interesting new music video channel called EXA-TV, owned by the largest radio network in Mexico and Latin America (EXA0FM/MVS). EXA-TV is an incredible concept, and it will become the best music video channel in the region in less than a year.     Ryan Merritt (B.F.A., film and television, 2003) lives in Beverly Hills, Michigan, and is the manager of Pampas, a new Brazilian restaurant. He wrote, "I have been working on my own art. Large scale caricatures somewhat reminiscent of Picasso. Very surreal. I have sold one and am working on more. She wrote, "I had the pleasure of doing a shoot for the television show 'That's Clever' on HGTV. I had designed a lamp that was built from vintage pre-1960 radios, where the knobs turn on the light. They sent a crew form Los Angeles, California, to film me building the lamp from a radio and also making the lampshade. It took about seven hours to do something that will air for maybe 20 minutes. It is sure to be a hoot, and will make national television."

Arch, architecture, 2003) will spend the next two years as production assistant for exhibitions at the Museum of Biodiversity in Panama, with Frank Gehry as his architect boss, Bruce Mau as his graphic designer boss and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Insititute as his curator boss.

    Brian Montgomery (B.F.A., media and performing arts, 2003) lives in New York City and is an executive office assistant for The Shubert Organization, which owns or operates seventeen Broadway theatres, is involved in the presentation of distinguished theatrical presentations and runs Shubert Ticketing Services and Telecharge.com.

    Meredith Moore (B.F.A., photography, 2003) wrote, "I have been working and living in Dallas, Texas, for four years now. A year ago I left the commercial photography feild to work in the non-profit world in a quest to make a difference in the world. Habitat for Humanity and I made a perfect match.     Rich Ponte (M.F.A., computer art, 2003) wrote, "In September I will be getting married to my fiance, Christy, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Currently I work as a professor for a private college in Raleigh, teaching in every area of the CG field (modeling, animation, portfolio development, group project shorts, storyboarding, character design and maquette sculpting). Before my current job I worked in Atlanta, Georgia as animation art director for a local video game company. I was responsible for overseeing the team of ten animators and producing most of the preproduction, storyboards, and concept art for new projects. After that, I worked as a freelancer for a production company that produced commercials for Cartoon Network. I would do the tweening, inking or painting of the 2D animation, also compositing and sequencing of animation in After Effects. In addition, I worked as their lead 3-D modeler and animator on a national commercial for Topps and Cartoon Network. I had one of my conceptual designs used on the Cartoon Network Adult Swim show 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force,' and got credit on two episodes.     Jocelyn Wilson (B.F.A., interior design, 2003) recently purchased a home in Denver, Colorado, and is assistant to the vice president of The Kitchen Showcase Inc.

    Kyle Winkelman (B.F.A., computer art, 2003) recently accepted a position as staff animator with famed visual effects studio Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) in San Francisco, California. Previously, he contracted with ILM on "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and "Battleship." (updated 02/14/12)

    Clinton Withers (B.F.A., graphic design, 2003) wrote, " I started Creative Republic in Washington, D.C., in 2006. From there I built a dedicated client base with several national corporate and non-profit organizations providing experiential marketing design services that include print, interactive, video and environmental. After two years in D.C., I built creative and production partnerships in Chicago, Illinois, and in 2008 moved creative headquarters to Chicago. Creative Republic now operates from its studio in Chicago's downtown/River North neighborhood servicing Chicago, Washington, D.C., and other nationally-based clients.     Nadyne Wood (M.F.A., illustration, 2003) lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, Darby. She is an art buyer for Holt, Rinehart and Winston, an educational textbook publisher. She is also a freelance illustrator.

    Amanda Workman (M.F.A., media and performing arts, 2003) lives in Savannah, Georgia, and is head women's golf coach for SCAD.

    Daniel "Dan" M. Wulfing (B.F.A., computer art, 2003) and Miranda (Lindstaedt) Wulfing (B.F.A., graphic design, 2003) live in Zurich, Illinois. Dan is a motion designer for the Oprah Winfrey Show at Harpo Studios. He designs and develops motion graphics for insert, set and promotional projects, as well as special projects such as the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy.

    Heather Young (B.F.A., illustration, 2003) wrote, " I'm currently illustrating the 'Taste of the Month' for Skirt! Magazines in Atlanta, Georgia; Savannah, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina. After two years of teaching art, I've left the field of education to pursue freelanmce illustration and mural work."

    Sarah Zaidan (B.F.A., sequential Art, 2003) wrote, "After completing a Master's degree in illustration from Kingston University in 2006, I have gone on to undertake a Ph.D in illustration, also at Kingston, to be completed in 2011. My thesis is a deconstruction of the superhero genre of comics, using an interactive Flash interface. At the moment, I am beginning the third year of my thesis and am creating animations for the first time, so things are very hectic but exciting!" (updated 03/13/09)

    John Zdaniewski (M.Arch., 2003) lives in Savannah, Georgia, and works as an architect for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

    James Zdaniewski (B.F.A., computer art, 2003) lives in Savannah, Georgia, and is art director for WHACK media design, LLC, a multimedia design studio he started with fellow alumnus, Rodrigo Muller (B.F.A., computer art, 2003).
