    Lauren Adams (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the owner of Lauren H. Adams Decorative Paintings Inc., a company that specializes in murals, faux finishes, painted furniture and canvas paintings for residential and commercial clients in the Southeast.

    Frederick Amey (M.Arch., 1992) has, since graduating from SCAD, worked for the award-winning firms of Daniel E. Snyder Architect, Savannah; Edwin Schlossberg Incorporated, New York; and Gary Shoemaker Architects, New York. Amey recently moved to Portland, Maine, to resume a collaborative practice begun a decade ago with fellow SCAD alumnus Gary Coccoluto (M.Arch, 1992).

    Jennifer (Anderson) Blanchard (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) is residence service representative for SBC/SNET, originally Southern New England Phone Corp. Blanchard lives in Naugatuck, Connecticut, with her husband, Bruce Blanchard (B.F.A., illustration, 1993), and their children, Megan (March 1993), Emily (February 1995) and Kathryn (September 1999).

    Dan Anderson (M.Arch., 1992) lives in Pompano Beach, Florida, and is the senior project manager for Pierce Architectural Group P.A., a mid-sized architectural firm in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Anderson oversees project managers and production staff, generates guidelines for all aspects of the production department, and serves as project manager for large municipal and commercial projects.

    Geoffrey Aronson (M.F.A., photography, 2002) lives in Merida, Mexico, and is an ESL instructor with CIS, a language arts training center.

    Breuna Baine Mertens
      (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is a designer with Landor Associates, an international branding and packaging design firm. Baine Mertens lives in Covington, Kentucky, with her husband, Bryan, and their son, Baine.

    Thomas "Mike" Baker (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Newark, Delaware, with his wife, Karen, and children, Robin (December 1997) and Michael (March 1999). He is a designer with Globe Canvas Products, an awning manufacturer. Baker wrote, "I am also involved in operating TMB Custom Models, where I do freelance design and fabrication of models for private collectors and museums."

    Bonnie Baldwin Hall (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) lives in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and works for Perkins Design Concepts.

    Sean Balkwill (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is a graphics coordinator for Mims Distributing Company.

    Scott Banks (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1992) lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Elaine, and their children, Ethan (October 2000) and Spencer (February 2002). He is pre-construction manager for Place Properties, one of the country's largest developers of student housing and related living/learning facilities.

    Juli (Barnes) Duke (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1992) is a high school science teacher at Ocean City Christian School. She previously worked as an architectural designer. Duke lives in Salisbury, Maryland, with her husband, Alex, and their son, Christian (April 1992). They are expecting their second child.

    Mike Barsham (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Fairport, New York, with his wife, Jennie, and their son, Aaron (April 2000). Barsham is the customer service/technical representative with Flower City Printing, a large-format printing company specializing in point of sale materials and packaging.

    Court Batson (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is a designer for Bent Media, an interactive agency. 

    John "Jay" Bayfield (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) is a graphic artist with Avaya Government Solutions, an IT services and core communications provider for the federal government located in Fairfax, Virginia. (updated 10/4/11)

    David Bazemore (B.F.A., 1992) works with Charleston Affordable Housing, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide quality housing for low- to moderate-income families. The organization is a spin-off of the America Street Foundation.

    Steffanie Bowles (M.F.A., photography, 1992) works as a special education teacher for the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education. She is married to Scott Richards.

    Bob Bramberg (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Albion, Rhode Island, and does computer 3-D design for Liquid Blue.

    Steven Brown (M.F.A., photography, 1992) lives in Ozark, Missouri, works for JP Morgan Chase, and works on art projects in his spare time. (updated 06/23/09)

    Denise Bryant-Ratledge (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) married her childhood sweetheart, Tim Ratledge, following graduation from SCAD. They live in Riceville, Tennessee, and have a baby girl named Camden. Bryant-Ratledge teaches art at a primary school part-time and gives private lessons at home.

    Kevin Burke (M.F.A., video, 1992) and his wife, Yoshiko Matsuda Burke (M.F.A., fibers, 1994), have relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio.

    Brian Byers (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) owns Emania Paranormal Research Facility, as well as has a very popular internet radio show called Ghostology with Brian & Anna Marie.

    Amy (Cline) Reyes
    (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is owner and project manager of 23D Motion Graphics, a 2-D and 3-D animation studio in Atlanta. She is married to Ivan Reyes (B.F.A., illustration, 1991), who is also her business partner. Their son, Eno, was born June 14, 1999.

    Gary Coccoluto (M.Arch., 1992) wrote, "My wife Catherine, also an architect, and I are raising three great boys at the beach while practicing architecture in the provinces. I am principal and creative director at OA Architects, designing academic, recreation and Federal projects across the Northeast, though secretly longing to get back to Savannah, Georgia. The toughest design challenge to date - adapting a home to support his youngest son's special visual and spatial needs. Who knew color theory would be so important?" (updated 10/27/10)

    Katharine Collins (B.F.A., fashion, 1992) lives in London, England, and is self-employed in the film industry. She is currently budgeting and packaging her first feature film. 

    Susan Collins (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Greenville, South Carolina, and is the electronic pre-press specialist for Martin Printing Company Inc. She is responsible for the design and layout of Living in South Carolina Magazine, a product of the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina.

    Dawn Compton Coleman (B.F.A., photography, 1992) earned an M.S. in art education at Syracuse University and is an art teacher for grades 3-5 at Sarah Cobb Elementary School in Americus, Georiga.. She and husband James live in Fort Benning, Georgia.

    John Cooksey (M.Arch., 1992) is a project architect with H + L Architecture. He lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with his wife, Michelle, and their daughters, Alexandra (January 1999) and Caroline (March 2001).

    "Junkyard Essays" by Stacy (Corson) Gibboni (B.F.A., painting, 1992) was exhibited Oct.13 - Jan. 3 at Old Stone Church Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. An article about the exhibit was featured in Cleveland Scene. (updated 12/16/11)

    Theresa Craven (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) has worked as a design coordinator with John Wieland Homes in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, since her graduation from SCAD.

    Angela Crews (B.F.A., photography, 1992) is the production manager for Digitango/Laser Tech Color Inc., a high-end digital imaging studio.

    Rob Daffin (M.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Plano, Texas, and is an art director with StyleScience, a company that designs, manufactures and markets fashion eyewear.

    Chris Dahowski (M.Arch., 1992) upon graduation went on to study acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. He completed three years of study and has worked in more than 20 plays as well as appearing on the soap opera "Guiding Light." In 1999, he earned the lead role in a feature film, "Tweakers," which has yet to be released. Dahowski lives in Los Angeles, California.

    Jay Danner-McDonald (B.F.A., video, 1992) is the senior editor, post-production manager for Discovery Communications Inc., a broadcast cable company that specializes in documentary and education programming. He worked on "It's a Boy," a feature documentary for the Health Network, which aired May 2000. Danner-McDonald lives in Takoma Park, Maryland, with his wife, Kerry.

    Jennifer Dean (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Avon, Colorado, and is partner/creative director for JDK Marketing and Public Affairs, a marketing and political consulting company.

    Paul DeHaven (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is creative director for Resource Real Estate Marketing. DeHaven lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Michele (Emmons) DeHaven (B.F.A., graphic design, 1991).

    Charles "Chuck" DeWitt Jr. (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is a packaging production technician for Southern Graphic Systems/Alcoa. He lives in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, with his wife, Mary Ellen, and their children, Steven (July 1992) and Nicholas (September 1997). He wrote, "My wife and I plan to move back to our home state of South Carolina in the near future."

    Frances Shelley Dieffenbacher (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is a freelance designer out of her home in Greensboro, North Carolina.

    Kathleen Divine (B.F.A., photography, 1992) wrote, "I am a realtor and work for Santoro Custom Builders as the onsite sales manager in Benevento Community located in Spring Hill, Tennessee.  I manage all listings and all photography needs as well, although nowadays that's just snapping interior and exterior photos of the houses I'm listing."

    Adrienne (Dorfman) Marquet (M.F.A., interior design, 1992) is the owner of Interiors by Design, a small business specializing in commercial space planning with clients in Hawaii, Guam, Japan and Korea. Marquet lives in Kaneohe, Hawaii, with her husband, David.

    Scott Drexler (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) wrote, "I'm living out my dream here on Maui with my beautiful wife and new baby daughter. Live couldn't be better!     Kevin Duncan (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Simpsonville, South Carolina, with his wife, Robin, and son, Wyatt. He is the owner/principal of Sojourn Studio, a small design studio.

    Merrick Earle (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the owner of Iron Moon Studio, a metal fabrication and blacksmithing company that specializes in high-end custom architectural metalwork, including gates, railing, lighting fixtures and furniture.

    Paige (Easley) Patty (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Savannah, Georgia, with her husband, Brad Patty. Patty is the sole proprietor, freelance painter, illustrator and sculptor for Hanblechia Studio.

    Clifford Eberly (B.F.A., fibers, 1992) wrote, "I have maintained and operated Parlor Gallery for three and a half years now in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In May 2010 I will be exhibiting paintings by Jeffrey Kromer (B.F.A., painting, 1991). (updated 12/08/09)

    Travis Eikner (B.F.A., painting, 1992) is a freelance artist living in Columbia, South Carolina. He is a member of the SouthWest watercolor gallery, had an exhibition of his work at the McKissick Museum at the University of South Carolina, and exhibited his work at the World Congress Center in 1994.

    Carla Emery (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is a graphic artist for the Bank of Bermuda. She lives in Bermuda with her husband, Derek, and her daughter, Nyah (August 1994).

    Todd Failor (B.F.A., video, 1992) works at Crawford Communications as coordinating producer for LAPTV, which includes such channels as MovieCity, Cinecanal and The Filmzone.

    Michael Faust (M.Arch., 1992) is an architect in Atlanta, Georgia. He wrote, "I recently purchased a turn-of-the-century warehouse building and converted it into a personal residence. My architectural design and interior design was featured on HGTV's show called 'Lofty Ideas' July 2002. My loft design additionally won Most Creative Design award during Atlanta's 2001 Loft Tour and was featured on a set backdrop for a short film. My loft design also was featured in the September 2001 issue of Jezebel Magazine."

    Mark Fergenbaum (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) is the owner and president of M.I. Design Inc., a kitchen design and space planning company in Lafayette, Colorado. The scope of work ranges from overall initial schematic space planning to unit specific interior design to interior finish selections and kitchen design.

    Alex Ferguson
    (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) works as a freelance set dresser, prop maker and storyboard artist within the movie industry. He is working with Muppet Workshop on Jim Henson features and recently received an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design/Art Design/Styling for "Sesame Street."

    Danny Fisher (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) wrote, "After graduating from SCAD I relocated to San Francisco, California, to design a smaller publication called Soma. After seven years, during 2004 I moved to New York City and starting designing for publications 'Vanity Fair,' 'Surface,' and 'Elle' which is now my main focus."

    James "Jim" Freeman (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Bordentown, New Jersey, and was recently accepted into New American Paintings magazine, Vol. 63, mid-Atlantic region (May/June 2006).     Julie Gardner TerHaar (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Charles Town, Wes Virginia, with her husband, Bill, and their son, Kolby (December 1995). She is a middle school art teacher at Charles Town Middle School.

Green oversees student media outlets, including newspaper, magazine, radio station, and websites and instructs students in design production.


    Kati (Greene) Curtis (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) lives in New York City with her husband, Simon. She is a self-employed interior designer.

    Kathryn "Miki" (Greenham) Hicks (B.F.A., fashion, 1992) is the trend merchandising presentations/communications manager for Payless Shoe Source. Hicks is responsible for the design, layout and production of all multimedia training materials released by the Trend Merchandising division for the world headquarters and throughout the 4,900 retail stores. She is also responsible for researching pop culture trends and licensed products. Hicks lives in Topeka, Kansas, with her husband, Thomas Hicks (attended SCAD), and her daughter, Lilly (May, 2001).

    Michael Scott Griffin (B.F.A., painting, 1992) wrote, "I am creating new works for gallery exhibitions.  Living in Savannah, Georgia, enjoying long hours in the studio."

    Wendy Griffin (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Augusta, Georgia, with her son, Jasper (March 2001) and is a graphic artist with McGowen Printing.

    Jay Chris Hardison (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and is regional visual manager for The Paradies Shops. 

    Kelly Hawes (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, with her husband, Robert. Hawes is a freelance artist and professional belly dancer. Her artwork appears in many private homes and businesses in Wilmington and surrounding areas. Some of her commercial clients have included Michael's Seafood Restaurant, Hollywood East Cinema Grill, Silver Coast Winery, Down Island Traders, Ogden Family Chiropractic, Carolina Kayak and Club Tropics. Hawes performs as a belly dancer under the name "Samra," and in addition to performing at smaller parties, she has also performed at large festivals such as the Azalea Festival, Riverfest, Sundown Shindig, Earth Day Festival, the International Festival at UNCW, Spring Fling at Topsail Beach and First Night in Charleston. She also teaches belly dance classes at the Community Arts Center in Wilmington.

    Naomi (Hawker) Martin (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1992) is the assistant registrar for the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village; she catalogs and processes 3-D artifacts in the museum's collection. Martin and her husband, James Martin (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1993), are restoring a 1925 Colonial Revival home in the Seminole Hills historic district in Pontiac, Michigan.

    Laura Henning (M.Arch., 1992) lives in Savannah, Georgia, where she is an architect with James W. Buckley and Associates. Henning works mainly in code review and integrating designs and building requirements in to the programs and schematics.

    Ellis Hepburn (B.F.A, graphic design, 1992; M.F.A., fibers, 1994) is a fibers professor at SCAD in Savannah, Georgia. (updated 09/30/11)

    Ken Herzog (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) wrote, "I live in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, with my wife, Brenda, and our daughters, Kaia (October 2002) and Ayla (March 2006). We moved to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area to be closer to my wife's family. I have been working in television about seven years and was recently promoted to design director. The television station where I work has made a major transition in the HD format and is one of the first to do so, as well as going through a top to bottom renovation of the facility."

    Jennifer Hinnenkamp (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) is assistant manager with Picket Fences Unique Children's furnishing store in Austin, Texas.

    Michael Hipple (B.F.A., photography, 1992) had a solo show at the Benham Gallery in Seattle, Washington, in May 1998. His work was also featured inPhotometro. 

    Eric Hommel (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1992) wrote, "I'm honored to be leading a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in the Panjshir Valley of Afghanistan. My Army, Air Force and civilian team work with the provincial government to provide infrastructure, education, health care and basic governmental services to the people of Panjshir. I consider this assignment the pinnacle of my career, and I thank SCAD for supporting creativity in thought and action; it has served me well throughout my military career." (updated 07/16/09)

    Amy Horner (M.F.A., interior design, 1992) is the facilities planner for Atlanta Mutual Companies in Madison, New Jersey. She works on programming, construction drawings, space planning, finish selection, lighting, telecommunications and move coordination.

    Beth (Huffstutler) Gaffney (B.F.A., fashion, 1992) is a designer for Independent Studios, a design business she founded with her husband, James Gaffney (B.F.A., graphic design, 1993). Gaffeny and her husband live in Asheville, North Carolina.

    Kevin Hull (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Winsted, Connecticut, with his wife, Megan, and their son, Corbin (August 1999). Hull is art department manager for Firefly Studios, a computer game company. He wrote, "After considerable time tattooing in Savannah, Georgia, I decided to pull up roots and move to Connecticut and work with an old friend, Brian Byers (B.F.A., illustration, 1992). I have been happily married since 1996 and have a six-year-old son."

    Gary Humphries (B.F.A., photography, 1992) wrote, "For the last year, I have been recalled back to active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. I have just returned from a six month deployment to the CJTF-HOA (Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa) Anti-Terrorism base where I served as the executive officer for a battalion sized infantry unit. We operated as the Marine guard force, running continuously sustained 24/7 operations for 6 months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. There I had the opportunity to get to know several of the local tribal chiefs and implement numerous civil affairs and humanitarian assistance projects. Now that I am back from Africa, I plan to make up for lost time with my family and further my education by attaining a second B.S. in Building Construction Management. Semper fidelis!"

    Colin Ingraham (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1992) lives in Washington, D.C., and is a preservation officer for the Maryland Historic Trust.

    Brian Johnson (B.F.A., painting, 1992) lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is graphic arts manager for Anchor Games, a gaming company.

    John Johnson (B.F.A., interior design 1992) is graphics technician for the Metropolitan Planning Commission in Savannah, Georgia. He designs maps for presentation for large meetings.

    Nicole Johnston (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband, Matthew. She is payroll supervisor for the Merchandising Corporation of America.

    Laura Karas (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) lives in Chesnee, South Carolina, with her daughter, Marah (September 1995). Karas is a reference librarian with the University of South Carolina–Spartanburg Library.

    Kay (Kephart) Galloway (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is director of advertising and publishing for the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. She was recently selected to receive the Daytona Beach Advertising Federation's Presidents Award. An active community volunteer, Galloway serves on the board of directors of the United Way of Vlusia-Flagler Counties and has served as chair of the nonprofit organization's Volunteer Center. Most recently she spearheaded the creation of the Daytona Beach Advertising Federation's successful Touchdown for Children fundraiser benefiting local children's charities. She lives in Ormond Beach, Florida, with her husband and son, Thomas Carver (May 2001). 

    Sara Kirsch (B.F.A., photography, 1992) lives in Rome, Italy, and is a photo archivist with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

    Allison Kline (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Seattle, Washington, and works as a graphic designer for Lava Lab Creative, a freelance design company.

    Lloyd Knighton (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is the graphics director for Dusobox Corporation, a packaging printer and manufacturer. He lives in Saint Cloud, Florida, with his wife, Dolores, and their sons, Charles and Jacob.

    Jennifer Kray Cole
    (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is a freelance graphic designer in the Nashville, Tennessee, area with clients such as the Nashville Performing Arts Group.

    Rene E. Kuntz (M.Arch., 1992) is an artist and watercolorist living on a saltwater tidal creek with her fiancé, a professional offshore charter captain, and their two chocolate labs in a boathouse converted into a studio/home. She says she appreciates the wonderful education she received from SCAD every day.

    Carter Launt (B.F.A., photography, 1992) is a self-employed photographer living in Charlotte, North Carolina.

    Jessica (Law) Williams (B.F.A., video, 1992) designs print media for Rose Design, a full-service graphic design firm. Williams lives in St. Charles, Missouri, with her husband, Eric Williams (B.F.A., illustration, 1993).

    Michael Law (B.F.A., photography, 1992) lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a freelance fashion photographer working in both the United States and Italy.

    Keith "Adam" Leaman (M.Arch., 1992) wrote, "I moved back to Maryland three years ago to run a project for the National Institutes of Health.  My time and education at SCAD have been valuable through all stages of my career and shall continue to do so in the future."

    Lee LeCouter (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) wrote, "Still in southern New Jersey. After 18 years in the design/advertising field, I decided to undertake a new challenge, left The Press of Atlantic City and became a high school graphic design teacher for Pinelands Regional HS, Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, in September 2008. It has truly been one of the best things that I ever did in my career and life! I have a great group of students who are eager to learn and are doing some good work. I also managed to hook into a local college and have become an adjunct teacher of advertising design and production. I also bit the bullet and opened my own freelance design studio, Personality Graphic Design Studio, LLC, which helps keep my hand in the game. And, I am working on an M.F.A. in advertising, which I hope to have by the end of 2011. All in all, adding some great bike rides here and there, life has been pretty good!" (updated 02/17/10)

    Kate (Lee) Rechin (B.F.A., painting, 1992) is a freelance wax carver, providing wax carvings to the jewelry trade. Rechin lives in Hilton Head, South Carolina, with her husband, John Rechin (B.F.A., photography, 1991), and their children, Emmett (June 1998) and Aidan (August 2001).

    Tony Lescak (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) is a technology specialist with the Candler County School System. Lescak lives in Metter, Georgia, with his wife, Shawn, and their children, Elizabeth (March 1994) and Jake (March 2002).

    Jeffrey Lewis (B.F.A., painting, 1992) lives in New York City and is happy to say that he is a painter! His private commission work also allows him the opportunity to travel to Switzerland each summer. 

    Daria (Lewis) McClelland (B.F.A., photography, 1992) and her husband Michael have two children, Jaxon (2002) and Kai (2003). She moved to Austin, Texas, after attending graduate school and earning an (M.A. in art education in New Mexico. She is currently teaching elementary art in Round Rock ISD.

    Barbara "Buffi" (Lineburg) Wilder
    (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) wrote, "After being in Oregon since 2000, my husband and I moved back to the East Coast to be closer to family and experience what Washington, D.C., has to offer. I have been working with Aquent as a senior graphic designer/production manager since moving here, and through them, have had the opportunity to work with Reingold, MITRE and am currently working with Pew Charitable Trusts. I have been able to apply both senior graphic design, web design, and production management skills to each position.     (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) lives in Hamilton, Ohio, where she is a sales manager/marketing manager/product developer for GRK Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer and importer of music furniture, heirloom quality children's toys and furniture. hospitality and retail fixtures. She describes her job as "so much fun, I cannot believe they are paying me!"

    Todd Lubsen (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is an art director for the Concept Development Group, a unit of Microsoft Games Studios. Lubsen is responsible for art direction and management of a small team of conceptual artists, as well as individual artwork contributions. His most recent project was art direction for Microsoft's A.I. -- Artificial Intelligence, a web-based interactive game/promotion, in cooperation with Dreamworks SKG. Lubsen lives in Seattle, Washington, with his wife, Tracey.

    Masako (Masukawa) Mauper (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) married a French man and has moved from Atlanta, Georgia, to the outskirts of Paris, France.

    Dennis Mayer (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) is involved in residential and commercial design with Studio at Haghey Ferry Landing in Pomaria, South Carolina.

    Candice McCorvey Blanton (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Hephzibah, Georiga, and is an elementary school art teacher.

    Brent McCown (B.F.A., video, 1992) lives in Denver, Colorado, and is a producer for Starz Encore Group, the largest provider of premium pay movies in the United States. McCown produces movie trailers for air on Starz Encore movie channels.

    David McGowan (B.F.A., graphic design and illustration, 1992) is self-employed and does freelance work for a variety of design firms in Chicago, Illinois, and Washington, D.C.

    Jason McNeal (B.F.A., video, 1992) lives in Dayton, Ohio, and is a motion picture specialist with the Library of Congress/Film Preservation Division. This branch of the LOC is a film lab that specializes in preserving pictures from the late 1800s up through the 1960s. McNeal wrote, "We work on films that are part of the library's permanent collection, as well as collections from Hollywood studios and organizations such as the American Film Institute and MOMA."

    Tammy Miner (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) lives in Oakland, California, and is in sales for AAA Business Interiors, a commercial interior design firm and furniture dealership. She also works as an instructor at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she teaches AutoCAD, space planning and store planning.

    Todd Moody (M.F.A., interior design 1992) lives in Richardson, Texas, and works in the design district for Walter Lee Culp Associates. He also has his own interior design business on the side, called D. Todd Moody Design. He has two 6-year-old sons, Jacob Christian and Joshua Todd.

    Cindy Moore (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) wrote, "After being back in Atlanta, Georgia, for two years, I came back to Birmingham, Alabama, and taught pre-school to special needs children, but have since gotten back into graphic design and am now working for a retail packaging company designing packaging, stationary and wrapping paper. I continue to work with special needs children on a volunteer basis and enjoy it but I'm glad to be back in the creative field."

    Paul Morzella (B.F.A., video and photography, 1992) is an editor, director and producer. In the last eight years he has owned and operated his own editing company, Loop Editorial, which focuses on documentaries, and reality-based television shows. His recent projects include MTV's "Road Rules" and "The Real World You Never Saw," as well as an MTV videotape release. Morzella created and directed a pilot titled "Online Love," a reality-based dating show. He has also raised funds for a PBS documentary, "Project Back Roads," about rural America. Morzella has also directed "Making the Band," an ABC prime-time show; "Rated X, The Journey," a documentary; and "The Mole," another ABC show. In addition, Morzella produced and directed "The Other Side Of Fear," and an MTV behind-the-scenes special for the show "Fear." Most recently, Morzella produced and directed a series of car commercials for Pontiac's "Pass It On" advertising campaign.

    Sara Murphy Robertson (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Jefferson City, Mississippi, and works as research and development analyst for Custom Screen Printing.

    Thomas O'Hara (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1992) is a planner for the City of Mentor, Ohio, in the community development/planning and zoning department. O'Hara lives in Euclid, Ohio, with his wife, Brenda, and son, Christopher (April 1997).

    Mark Palmer (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) owns Mark Palmer Interior Design and is a residential designer in the US and Europe. (updated 05/30/09)

    Greg Parisi (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) is art director for Executive Business Media, a publishing company. Parisi lives in Medford, New York, with his wife, Connie (Fryling) Parisi, and their children, Lexi (December 1995), Julie (March 1998) and Katie (August 2002). Parisi wrote, "I also do freelance graphic design and illustration for my own business, MindsEye Studios."

    Lisa Plemons (B.F.A., fibers, 1992) is an embroidery graphic digitizer for Cyrk Inc., located in Gloucester, Massachusetts, a company that designs, develops and manufactures products for major corporations worldwide.

    Anita (Pottratz) Johnson (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is a creative director with Schrimmer Advertising. She lives in La Habra, California, with her husband, Marcus.

    Alyssa Proska-Bacharra (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is the senior graphic designer at Enesco Corporation, a manufacturer of giftware and collectibles. She lives in Ingleside, Illinois, with her husband, Kurt.

    (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) is working as an artist for the Habersham Plantation Corporation in Commerce, Georgia.

    Kevin Radford (B.F.A., photography, 1992) works as a freelance photographer in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, concentrating mostly on stock photography of people. His work can be seen all over the world. His wife, Margaret Norton Radford (B.F.A., painting, 1989) is a fine art painter.

    J.R. Reynolds (B.F.A., video and film, 1992) wrote, "Twenty years in video and film production in Savannah, Georgia. Actor in feature films and interactive theater. Recurring role as 'Calico Jack' for the Treasure of Tybee Island Treasure Hunts, by Interactive Adventures. Starred in short film by scadshorts, 'Sailor with the Fiendish Foot,' which was featured on the front page of You Tube September 2007 with 700,000 hits and counting! Go Dandy Dwarves!. Diagnosed with brain tumor in 2005; the operation was successful and I am now able to work after a long recovery. Started SavannahHomeTours.tv in January 2008 and am now producing high definition video home tours for Mopper-Stapen Real Estate. Married to Janet Gamble and have 12 year old son Gamble. Creator of the SCAD Video Awards, the first-ever video/film festival at SCAD. It ran for four years, from 1985 to 1988. In 1989 digital media was added, and eventually it grew into the outstanding SCAD film Festival we have today.

    Paul Riley (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Covington, Georgia, with his wife, Lorna, and their children, Joshua (August 1995) and Sarah (March 2001). Riley is an account executive for Graphic Solutions Group Inc., where he is responsible for new account development and account maintenance. He wrote, "I have spent the last two years flying with the Georgia Air National Guard in Iraq."

    Laura Ring (B.F.A., painting, 1992) is vice president of Ticketmonster.com, an independent ticketing agency that specializes in hard-to-find tickets for all major concerts and sporting events Nationwide. Ring wrote, "I tried to continue teaching art when I moved to Maryland in 1999, but the educational system here is a dramatic departure from that of Georgia. Disillusioned, I took a job at a firm that does displays for the Smithsonian, as a project manager. Soon after, I had a call from a company that I had submitted a resume to before for an interview. I couldn't pass up the chance to work for the Department of Defense, under the Clinton administration. I worked in the Pentagon until 2001. My job was simply using PhotoShop and Powerpoint, dressing up reports for a Presidential appointee. My work was even presented to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In early 2001 my boss had to leave, along with all the rest of the Presidential-appointed employees, and I chose to leave when he left (thank goodness). My fiancé started his own company in early 2001, Ticketmonster.com. I helped with the early web design, logos and print advertisement. We just bought out a competitor last year, and are building a new home closer to Camden Yards (and the Marina). We plan to be married summer 2005."

    Sara Robertson-Murphy (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Jefferson City, Missouri, and is the manager for Das Haus of Europe, a European wine bar, bierstube and gift shop.

    Cathlyn Robinson (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and is a senior graphic designer for Deloitte LLP where she is a federal practice specialist. (updated 09/17/10)

    Lance Robinson (B.F.A., video, 1992) lives in Hollywood, California, and works as a grip for various film, television, commercial and video production companies in Los Angeles. Robinson wrote, "I've worked on various films over the years from 'Forrest Gump' (in the wardrobe department) to 'Go' and 'She's All That.' Music videos include Britney Spears (3x), POD, Little Romeo, Master P, A-teens and O-town. Commercials include Verizon (Titanic take-off), 10-10-220, Fulani wine, Ford, Saturn and Chrysler. TV shows include 'Andy Dick' (MTV), 'The Seventies' (Movie of the Week), 'Angel,' 'Any Day Now' and 'Even Steven.'"

    Tryon Rosser (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is art director for T-studio, his own design and advertising shop. He does freelance work for some of the big agencies in Atlanta, Georgia, – Bayless Cronin, Fitzgerald, Function, Crawford Mikus, Executive Arts, Brigh House. His regular business clients include Coke, Dogwood Brewing, Secureworks, Topps and Electronic Architects. Rosser lives in Atlanta with his wife, Denise.

    Cindy Rowan (M.F.A., painting, 1992) is the talented art teacher for the St. Tammany School Board in Covington, Louisiana. Rowan wrote, "Having talked with many artists who received an M.F.A. from other schools, SCAD offers the best educational experience. The instructors at SCAD are encouraged to put the student first. SCAD's curriculum offers challenging academic and studio courses."

    Mark Sablow (M.F.A., photography, 1992) lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and is a professor of photography and digital imaging at the Florida Community College at Jacksonville.


    Tamara (Scypinski) Pedroso (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is a freelance designer. She lives in Norcross, Georgia, with her son, Max (1999).

    Mark Allen Sechrist (M.Arch., 1992) lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he is an intern-architect and project manager for Architectural Design Associates. Sechrist and his wife, Rebecca Gruner, have a one-year-old daughter, Jillian Elise.

    Carla (Shabazz) Emery (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is a graphic designer with Island Press. She lives in Bermuda with her husband, Derek, and their children, Nyah and Kanzi.


    Debra Skowron (B.F.A., drawing, 1992) wrote, "In 2005 after all the craziness of hurricanes and family issues, I relocated from Florida to South Carolina. I am working by commissions in stained glass and portraits. The fun part of being an artist in the Greenville, South Carolina, area is the networking and a few of us formed a string/ol' timey band called 'The Fine Art Ramblers' and play occasional local venues. I play an old '41 upright bass."

    Christopher Smith
    (M.Arch., 1992), after having worked for HOK in Washington, D.C., is now at Perkins & Will in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the senior designer for the new Dupree College of Management Global Learning Center and the main bookstore for Georgia Tech. Smith and his wife, Deborah, have just purchased a home near Buckhead in a new neighborhood planned under New Urbanist ideas. Their daughter, Madison, was born in October 1999.

    Richard Smith (M.Arch., 1992) has joined Guernsey Tingle Architects as project manager. His design experience includes retirement communities, churches, corporate interiors and medical facilities. In addition to having a National Council certificate as a licensed architect, he is a certified interior designer and a graphic designer. At Guernsey Tingle Associates, Smith is working on an indoor pool and spa facility in Williamsburg, Vriginia, the new Ford's Colony Rocky Mount country club in North Carolina, and interior renovation for Chesapeake Bank's corporate headquarters in Kilmarnock, Virginia.


    Dan Spangler (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Ormond Beach, Florida, with his wife, Deirdre Dorr Spangler (B.F.A., illustration, 1992), and their children, Lake (March 1998) and Autumn (March 1998). Spangler owns a web and graphic design firm, SpillPaint Inc. Dorr Spangler is a first-grade teacher.

    Nancy Spell  (B.F.A., photography, 1992) lives in Pegram, Tennessee, and is a professor at Sarratt Art Studios, an arts center at Vanderbilt University, and is a project coordinator for Belmont University.

    Michael "Scott" Stafford (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is an e-business consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He works directly with clients to assess and achieve their Web-centric business objectives. Stafford lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with 0his wife, Tamery Basler (B.F.A., interior design, 1994).

    Dan Stainback (B.F.A., photography, 1992) works as a creative production manager for Time Life in Alexandria, Virginia. Stainback manages the creative for direct mail and catalogs for the Time-Life Music label.

    Jeffrey Stanton (B.F.A., painting, 1992) lives in Eagle Rock, California, with his wife, Tricia. He does special costume manufacture (i.e. aging, dying and distressing actors clothes) per director/designers specifications for the TV and motion picture industry. 

    James "J.J." Stelter (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Plymouth, Massuchusetts, with his wife, Victoria, and their children, Sydney (March 1995), Ozzy (September 1996) and Elke (January 2003). Stelter is the lead design manager of the Warrior brand at New Balance. (updated 07/01/11)

    Lisa (Sundahl) Platt
    (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) lives in Pensacola, Florida, with her husband, James. She is director of interior design for Caldwell Associates.
     
    Stacey Swigart (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1992) lives in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. and is the curator of collections at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She wrote, "I am still working at the best children's museum in the world and loving it! Great colleagues, great place to work, great mission ... helping children learn through play!!! We are working towards moving the museum into Memorial Hall, a building constructed for the 1876 Centennial Exhibition. I get to deal with my loves of history and preservation every day as well as get to buy and play with lots of toys!! :) Recently adopted a wonderful pug I have named ZuZu.

    Mike Thomas (M.Arch., 1992) works for ICON Architecture and Planning, Inc. ICON was recently selected by Southern Living magazine (Time-Life, Inc.) as a new contribution design firm for their 2009 house plans publications and will also be featured in the October 2009 issue of Southern Living magazine.     Angi Thompson (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) is self-employed as an art consultant with Visual Friends Inc., in Athens, Georgia, a company that deals in original oil-on-canvas paintings. She is married to Michael Thompson and is mother to Chandler Pierce, age two, and Gage Elliott, age one.

    Jack Thompson (B.F.A., photography, 1992) is a freelance photographer working in Houston, Texas. Thompson is focusing his work on corporate commercial advertising. 

    Yuvak Tuladhar (M.F.A., fibers, 1992) is a prepress and imaging operator with Idianrock Imagesetting in Berkeley, California. Tuladhar and his wife, Julie Weigel, and son, Jyoti Jerome Tuladhar (October 1999) live in Richmond, California.

    Robert Vail
    (M.Arch., 1992) is a project architect with Freeman White Inc., an architecture firm. Vail lives in Rock Hill, South Carolina, with his wife, Jill, and their children, Evan (August 1998) and Natalie (July 2000).

    Annette (Vallecillo) Nielson (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) is an interior designer with Ethan Allen in Sterling, Virginia.

    Michael Van Rhee (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) completed ten years of service (2007) as a graphic designer/art director for International Speedway Corporation where he helped to promote motor-sports events around the country for NASCAR, IRL, Grand American Road, and other racing series. He recently changed jobs in the professional sports industry and was hired by the NBA's Orlando Magic to offer design/branding support for the corporate partnership division/marketing as well as the entire Magic organization.     Patricia Walton (M.F.A., interior design, 1992) is a tenured assistant professor at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, teaching interior design. She still lives in Savannah, Georgia and maintains a design business. She was the 1997-98 recipient of the Georgia Chapter ASID Education Award.

    Martie (Ware) Gay (M.Arch., 1992) lives in Savannah, Georgia, with her husband, David, and their son William 'Carson' (May 2003). Gay is owner of Martie Gay Consulting, an architectural consulting and construction company.

    Richard "Scott" White (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a graphic designer at the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

    Ann (White) Smith (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) is senior project manager with Wakefield Beasley and Associates, an architecture and interior design company for commercial design. Smith lives in Marietta, Georgia, with her husband, Richard Jason Smith (M.Arch, 1992) and their son, Lawson (March 2002).

    Patricia (White) Teale (B.F.A., Illustration, 1992) wrote, "I moved back to the states with my husband, Jon Teale, of Dorset, England. We have two children, Emily, age nine, and Thomas, age seven. I graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1995 and, after taking time to travel with my husband and then being a full-time mom, I now work for the government providing therapy for sexually abused children."

    Donna (Wilkes) Thomas (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is the vice president and associate creative director for Anderson Communications Group Inc., in Hilton Head, South Caronlina. Thomas is responsible for the creation and design of all advertising within the creative department. She is married to Michael Thomas.

    Anthony William-Lescak (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) works at the Forest-Glade newspaper as a graphic designer and is married to Laura Ring (B.F.A., photography, 1992). They live in Metter, Georgia.

    Nixon "Nick" Williams (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1992) is self-employed as a homebuilder in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. He lives in Roswell, Georgia, with his wife, Ginger, and their triplets, Claudia, Brooke and Seith (July 2002).

    Joseph Wilson (B.F.A., photography, 1992) lives in Baltimore, Maryland, and is director of art services for The Campbell Group, an advertising, marketing and public relations firm.

    Crystal Wines (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) lives in Frederick, Maryland, and works as a printing service specialist at The Johns Hopkins University.

    Troy Wingard (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) recently accepted a position as an instructor and foundations coordinator in the department of visual art at Southeastern Louisiana University. He is currently also the associate director of the Latin America Studies Abroad program at the University of Georgia, where he plans, budgets, manages and instructs in the UGA art programs for Cuba, Costa Rica, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.     Christina Woody-Van Blake (B.F.A., graphic design, 1992) is married to Eric Van Blake, and they had their first child in Fall 1998. They live in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and are the owners of two PhotoWorld photo-finishing shops. In addition, Woody-Van Blake does decorative painting through her business, Décor by Design, and freelance graphic design.

    Graydon Yearick (M.Arch., 1992) lives in New York City and is a self-employed consultant for architecture and design firms.

    Holly (Zachary) Babiarz (B.F.A., illustration, 1992) lives in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, with her husband, James, and their children, Zachary (March 2000) and Grace (March 2002). She wrote, "I'm currently offering knitting-inspired designs by Holly on T-shirts and gift items."

    Sylvia Zenteno-Booker (B.F.A., interior design, 1992) is bridal manager for Rich's-Macy's. She lives in Douglasville, Georgia, with her husband, Timm Booker. She wrote, "My husband attended SCAD for a year in 1989-1990, when we met. Even though he went to another college after that, we stayed together and married in 1995."
