    Tyler Capehart (B.F.A., film and television, 2009) won best editor in Atlanta's 2009 48 hour Film Festival for his work with Dim Pictures on "The Sixth Senseless." He also won Vimeo's weekend project for best silent film for "Two Knives One Motive", the video he shot, directed, and edited within four hours. (updated 02/12/10)

    Marc Casey (B.F.A., film and television, 2009) wrote, "After working on the Disney feature film "The Last Song" starring Miley Cyrus in Savannah I relocated to Atlanta. I am the executive producer, director of photography, and camera operator for the music video "Unheard Cries" by singer/songwriter Sean Simmonds, nominated for a 2009 Gospel Music Channel Music Video Award in the Soul Category. In October 2009 I was accepted as a member of the IATSE Local 600 International Cinematographers Guild. My first job was
    working as the loader on the feature film "The Lottery Ticket" starring actors and rappers Ice Cube & Bow Wow." (updated 01/14/10)

You never know what is going to happen and the opportunities and how your connections will come together.  I am embracing what has come forward and will always be looking for ways to continue my growth."     Stefanie Dixon (B.F.A., fashion, 2009) is currently a graphic designer in product market &
    development for Acuity Brands Inc, while also working freelance for Lake Oconee Navigator magazine and the Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts. She is also getting published in a new book showcasing her fashion and textile design entitiled "Emerging Designers 2009." (updated 01/15/10)

    Lisa Seegers (B.F.A., graphic design, 2009) wrote, "I graduated from SCAD-Atlanta last spring. I am well and working as a freelance graphic designer in the Atlanta area with local clients; The Galloway School, Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, and RE/MAX Real Estate agents. I also have gained a design contract with CreateSpace and BookSurge (publishing companies owned by Amazon) and have been designing books since June. I have a website (www.lisaseegers.com) displaying my portfolio work and contact information should anyone want to contact me.     Rick Vanderscoff (B.F.A., sound design, 2009) wrote, "Since graduating from the sound design program in May of this year I worked on an independent feature film as a boom operator, then relocated to Los Angeles in September and now regularly freelance for a postproduction sound studio and mastering facility, Soundworks, in Burbank, Calif. that is working on a number of projects for Disney and Nickelodeon. I currently work in a multitude of roles such as: second recording engineer, general sound and dialog editing, and technical specialist." (updated 12/02/09)

    I certainly wouldn't have been able to make it as far as I have (and as quickly!) without my specialized training from SCAD and the wonderful professors in the Sound Design department.

Also was recently promoted to art lead/director which happened faster than I anticipated.
