SCAD Banner Image
Hong Kong gleams in the South China Sea, the heart of a creative revival in the Far East. Students come from all over the world to study in this global city, and SCAD Hong Kong offers the area's largest concentration of art and design degree programs, including courses in advertising, animation, fashion, fashion marketing and management, graphic design, illustration, interactive design and game development, interior design, luxury and fashion management, motion media design, painting, photography, sequential art and visual effects.

Rigorous career preparation takes place in the historic, UNESCO-award-winning former North Kowloon Magistracy Building, a grand courthouse restored and rehabilitated by SCAD-home to SCAD Hong Kong. This newest SCAD location has become a thriving member of the city's academic community, having received approval by the Hong Kong Education Bureau for the registration of its 21 course offerings.

SCAD Hong Kong students regularly collaborate with global brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Audemars Piguet and Makedo, and they participate in the city's many cultural events, including the Hong Kong Film Festival and the Hong Kong International Art Fair. Students may study at SCAD Hong Kong for the entirety of their degree programs or for only a few quarters, if they wish, to avail themselves of life and learning in Asia's World City.

The Hong Kong Development Bureau entrusted SCAD with conserving and revitalizing the historic North Kowloon Magistracy Building in Kowloon to become the home of SCAD Hong Kong. SCAD revitalized the historic facility into the leading site for the study of digital media in Asia, while honoring the structure's historic and cultural significance.  New features in the building include a library and art gallery, computer labs and digital studios, classrooms and lecture halls.

Since its founding in 1978, SCAD has restored and revitalized more than 70 buildings in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and in Lacoste, France.
