- SCAD's popularity among students from Asia has grown significantly over the last few years.
- SCAD offers a more comprehensive array of specialized digital media degree programs than are currently being offered in Hong Kong.
- SCAD already has well-established relationships in Hong Kong, including a growing network of students, alumni, professors and donors.
- SCAD already has relationships with an increasing number of major organizations in Hong Kong that recruit talented SCAD graduates for internships and full-time positions.
SCAD Hong Kong is located at the historic North Kowloon Magistracy Building, 292 Tai Po Road in Sham Shui Po.

SCAD offers bachelor's and master's degrees in Hong Kong. As is customary at U.S. universities, SCAD Hong Kong bachelor's degrees offer four years of instruction, including a core curriculum in fine art foundation studies and general education, before progressing into the major program of study. Master's degrees require advanced knowledge and specialized study that may include field or teaching internships and thesis projects, papers or exhibitions.

U.S. citizens and eligible non-U.S. citizens may receive federal and state aid and alternative loans while studying at SCAD Hong Kong. For Hong Kong citizens and other qualifying students residing in Hong Kong, the Student Financial Assistance Agency of Hong Kong offers certain types of financial aid. Students are eligible to apply for loans under the Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (NLS) and apply for the Student Travel Subsidy Scheme.
