SCAD connects students and alumni with leading professionals by hosting the annual Savannah Film Festival-the largest of its kind at a U.S. university.
SCAD student productions are screened and win awards at premier film festivals including Sundance, Cannes, the Los Angeles Film Festival and South by Southwest.
SCAD students work and learn alongside actors, sound designers and production designers in an environment that emulates the professional studio setting.
SCAD was the only university in the 2010 Student Academy Awards with nominations in three categories. SCAD student Lubomir Kocka was honored with a bronze medal in narrative.

Levy movie wins 3D World CG Award

"Sintel," an open movie SCAD alumnus Colin Levy (B.F.A., film and television, 2011) directed for the Blender Foundation won the 3D World CG Award for CG Animation of the Year (Short Form).
Eyeboogie Inc. hires Zachary Marshall

Zachary Marshall (B.F.A., film and television, 2011) accepted a position as videographer and assistant editor at Eyeboogie Inc. in Los Angeles, California.
Scott interns at Offhollywood Digital LLC

Christopher Scott (B.F.A., film and television, 2011) accepted internships with Offhollywood Digital LLC in New York City and ARRI CSC in Secaucus, New Jersey.
