SCAD student productions are screened and win awards at premier film festivals including Sundance, Cannes, the Los Angeles Film Festival and South by Southwest.
SCAD students work and learn alongside actors, sound designers and production designers in an environment that emulates the professional studio setting.
SCAD was the only university in the 2010 Student Academy Awards with nominations in three categories. SCAD student Lubomir Kocka was honored with a bronze medal in narrative.

Miami Marlins hires Mark Stewart, Jr.

Mark Stewart, Jr. (B.F.A., film and television, 2010; M.A., motion media design, 2011) accepted a position as video production editor with the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball organization.
Ross brothers film world premiere at SXSW

The documentary feature film "Tchoupitoulas" by SCAD alumni and brothers Bill Ross (B.F.A., video/film, 2003) and Turner Ross (B.F.A., painting, 2004) will have its world premiere at SXSW in March 2012. Their last documentary feature film, "45365," was a Grand Jury Award Winner at SXSW 2009 and won Best Documentary at the 2009 Savannah Film Festival.
Tuyliyev interns at Turner Broadcasting

B.F.A. film and television student Akmyrat Tuyliyev accepted an internship with Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta, Georgia, as Adult Swim producer intern.
