The printmaking department is located on the fifth floor of SCAD Atlanta. Students in the printmaking program combine traditional techniques with current technology to develop skills to produce handmade works on paper. The program gives students options for expression, including techniques such as photo and computer process, lithography, etching relief, monoprinting and silk-screening.

The art of screenprinting is one of many printmaking options students are exposed to during their studies.

The printmaking department has an annual juried exhibition in the spring quarter showcasing alumni and student work.

Printmaking students are taught a combination of techniques, both traditional and current, including letterpress.

Students become skilled in many facets of printmaking and are adept at a variety of techniques by graduation.

Students have the opportunity to learn lithography, a method of printing using stone or a metal plate with a smooth surface.

SCAD Atlanta is located in midtown Atlanta, which offers a diverse music scene and numerous theaters, galleries and museums.
