Foundation studies courses provide students with a basic foundation for their studies. All students are required to take courses in this program, which allow them to develop visual, conceptual and creative abilities essential to their professional development. Students expand their critical thinking skills and deepen their understanding of visual language through the foundation studies courses.

Large classrooms are easily reconfigured to allow students to group together to critique each others work.

Students are taught the foundational arts that their major work is based on in well-equipped studio space and classrooms.

Professional tools are available for all students to use on their projects throughout the quarter.
