The sequential art program, on the third floor of SCAD Atlanta, stresses writing as well as drawing, encouraging the artist to perfect the process of combining words and pictures to form an entertaining and effective narrative. Sequential art students create storyboards and character drawings. Student artwork is often seen displayed in cases demonstrating their maquettes and other artwork.

Some SCAD sequential art students produce hundreds of drawings each week to refine their visual storytelling technique.
