Designed to accommodate a gymnasium and fitness center, this facility will house the SCAD athletics department and workout and physical training areas. Athletic fields also are planned here.

The athletic complex opened in 2007 and is home to the men's and women's soccer and lacrosse teams.

The complex is situated only five miles north of downtown Savannah off U.S. 17 in Hardeeville, S.C.

SCAD is the first art and design university in the United States to offer a comprehensive intercollegiate athletics program.

Many SCAD teams were ranked among the nation's top 25 teams in recent years.

The SCAD cross-country teams have gone on the nationals and placed several times over the years.

The men's and women's swimming teams use the Chatham County Aquatic Center to practice and for meets.

SCAD offers men's and women's tennis at both Savannah and Atlanta locations.

Student athletes' foremost goal is the successful completion of the university's academic programs.

SCAD Savannah students practice and play on the Wilmington Island Club, just outside the Savannah city limits.

SCAD offers golf at both the Savannah and Atlanta locations.

The Bees men's swim team placed fifth in the 2010 season and fourth the prior season, with individual athletes also placing.

The Bees women's swim team defeated California Baptist University in 2009 and 2010 to win the NAIA national championship.
