For the past four years, SCAD has welcomed leading-edge companies to its Savannah location and enabled them to share their latest technology. Stop in at any point during this event to learn about new products at vendor booths, view presentations and take home giveaways. Action Life Media, Adobe, ARRI, Avid, Canon, Chimera, Cooke Lenses, Lowel, Manfrotto, nanoFlash, Panasonic, Pro Tools, RED, Sony, Steadicam, Tiffen and Wacom will be available to answer questions from SCAD students, professors and staff.

A representative from Avid will give an overview of the company and its new educational initiatives and programs. The Avid representative will also cover what's new with Pro Tools 10 and Media Composer 6.0.

Dana Goodwin, sales support engineer for Sony Electronics, will discuss 3-D technology.
Goodwin specializes in large production systems that include switchers, routers, automation and Sony's real-time image processor. He provides end users detailed product information, product integration, training and system troubleshooting. Goodwin has contributed to Sony's planning and support for key 3-D events, which include the BCS National Championship, ESPN X Games, MLB All-Star Game and the Sony Open.

This session will cover Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium. It will place special emphasis on eliminating workflow bottlenecks through the new Mercury Playback Engine using modern tapeless processes and the removal of intermediate rendering with Dynamic Link between Premiere Pro and After Effects. You also will learn what's new in Production Premium CS5.5. Productivity enhancements include powerful new audio editing capabilities and advanced compositing effects.
