Cyberwalk Arts Contest guidelines

  1. Current students, alumni and prospective students (limited to high school juniors and seniors) are able to participate in the Cyberwalk Arts Contest.
  2. Current students must input a valid SCAD email address and alumni must input a preferred email address previously provided to SCAD in order to submit a competition entry to the Cyberwalk Arts Contest. An email verification message will be sent to current students and alumni at the email address they provide that grants access to the digital sidewalk canvas. Prospective students must contact the SCAD admission department at 912.525.5100 or gotoscadcyberwalk@scad.edu to acquire an ID number and participate.
  3. Participants interested in competing in the Cyberwalk Arts Contest will be allowed to register and begin creating their designs on Friday, April 1, and the competition will remain open through Thursday, April 28.
  4. Participants can compete in both the Cyberwalk Arts Contest and in the Sidewalk Arts Festival competition. However, winners of the Cyberwalk Arts Contest are ineligible to win the Sidewalk Arts Festival competition.
  5. Participants are not permitted to work in groups to create online Cyberwalk squares.
  6. While there is not a time limit for the Cyberwalk Arts Contest, participants MUST finish and submit their designs once they visit the website and begin working. Participants may not save their designs and return to them at a later time within the competition's open dates.
  7. Cyberwalk judging will be completed on Friday, April 29, by judges selected by SCAD eLearning, SCAD alumni relations and the SCAD admission department. Winners will be announced at the Sidewalk Arts Festival at 4 p.m. Winners will receive a certificate and a prize award via U.S. mail.
  8. All designs must be created within the program provided on the Cyberwalk Arts Competition website. They may not include copied or pasted designs from any other program.
  9. The festival is a family event. Therefore, any artwork that contains nudity, profanity or other content deemed inappropriate by festival officials will be removed and disqualified.
  10. Once you submit your drawing, you will receive a verification email at the address you submitted. Please check your email to approve your drawing. This will complete the submission process for your entry.
