Rocio Rodriguez was born in 1952 in Cuba. She received her B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees from the University of Georgia in Athens, and is a professor of painting at SCAD Atlanta. Her work has been exhibited in various museums including the High Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Museum of Art of Fort Lauderdale, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, the Telfair Museum of Art, and the National Women's Museum in Washington, D.C.
