Peli was born in Sichuan, China, and is currently a professor of interior Design at SCAD Atlanta. She earned her M.F.A. and B.F.A. in interior design from SCAD. Prior to that, she received an A.F.A. in graphic design from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in China.
