Othiana Roffiel, painter and art historian from Mexico City, began her artistic career in 2009 when she embarked on her education at SCAD. She is a promising artist whose work is constantly growing and evolving as she seeks to understand herself and the world she lives in. She has a profound interest in the human body and ways of expressing intricate topics through it. She has worked in renowned companies and institutions such as Estudio Urquiza, an important photography studio in Mexico City, and the Telfair Museum in Savannah. She was chosen as artist of the year and exhibited her work in the American School Foundation's 2008 Art Fair. Othiana is a scholarship recipient and is coordinator for SCAD's Service Opportunities for Students program.
