Meryl Truett was born in South Carolina in 1953 and now resides in Savannah, Georgia. She received a B.A. in English literature, M.Ed. and M.M.A. in photography and film from the University of South Carolina. She earned an M.F.A. in photography at SCAD. Truett is a freelance photographer, artist and writer. Her work has been featured in group and solo shows and is included in the collections of the Telfair Museum of Art, Roseanne Cash, the late Chet Atkins, Ashley Judd, BellSouth Corp. and Vanderbilt University, among others.
