Maureen Garvin was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1953 and now resides in Savannah, Georgia. She received a B.F.A. in painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and an M.F.A. from Temple University. Maureen is the Dean of the School of Foundation Studies at the SCAD.  Her work has been exhibited in Atlanta, Beijing, Chicago, London, New York and Philadelphia.
