Julie Ferris was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and currently resides in Savannah, Georgia. She is seeking her B.F.A. in painting while also minoring in equestrian studies. Current projects in the making include four private commissions of different owners' horses and school-related studies. Ferris primarily focuses on capturing the fundamental nature of the horse in such a way that it is universally accepted and inspiring even to those who are not specifically interested in the subject. Upon earning her undergraduate degree, Ferris will continue on to graduate school to continue her education in painting or jump right into her career as a working artist.
