Blanche Nettles-Powers hails from Rochester, Minnesota, and now lives in Savannah, Georgia. She earned a B.F.A. in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design and an M.Ed. in art education from Georgia Southern University. Nettles-Powers completed an M.F.A. in painting at SCAD in 2008. She participated in the New York City Workspace residency during her SCAD studies, earning experience for her current role as a studio artist.
