Every year, Tybee Island's idyllic North Beach is transformed into a surreal landscape dotted with elaborate castles and wild creatures cast by the imaginations and creative skills of SCAD students.

And the winners are...

The SCAD sculptors molded the sand into jaw-dropping, extraordinary and even humorous works of art as crowds flocked to the beach on a beautiful Friday to admire their efforts. View the winning creations, from scary sea creatures and peculiar characters to complex castles, in all five categories.
