Preparing students for career success
The office for career and alumni success plays a vital role in fulfilling the SCAD mission: to prepare talented students for professional careers, emphasizing learning through individual attention in a positively oriented university environment. Each quarter, the office for career and alumni success conducts a wide range of career preparation workshops, from cover-letter and résumé writing to interviewing skills and beyond. Students and alumni also have year-round access to major-specific career advisers, who assist with their career development, job searches and more.
Matching employers with top talent
The office for career and alumni success hosts dozens of top employers for presentations to students and alumni about their companies, creative environments, job and internship opportunities, and ideal candidates. These visits can also provide company representatives the perfect chance to meet with and recruit standout students. In addition to visiting a SCAD location, employers can post jobs and internships to the SCAD-exclusive portal of College Central Network (CCN). Career News, a weekly e-newsletter, is another vehicle used to connect students and alumni with employers.
The annual Career Fair attracts 120-plus companies to SCAD Savannah to meet, recruit and hire more than 2,200 world-class artists and designers professionally prepared by SCAD.
