  Katherine Sandoz Paintings

  In addition to working in advertising for a number of years, Katherine Sandoz has acted as a gallery curator, and taught illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design where she was a professor for nine years, and where she obtained an MFA in illustration in 1997 and another in painting in 2005. With an affinity for portraiture and landscapes, her paintings and illustrations have appeared both in print and hung in galleries throughout the United States and Europe. She currently lives in Savannah, GA with her husband, two young sons, and two dogs.

  Alan Drummond Illustration

  Allan Drummond is chair of SCAD's illustration department. He worked as a journalist before studying graphic design at the London College of Printing, and illustration at the Royal College of Art. As an illustrator, his clients include the New Yorker, Time Magazine, the Times and the Daily Telegraph, as well as design groups in the United States, Europe and Japan. He also designed and produced the murals for Holborn Station, a London Underground interchange. Drummond's writing for children first appeared with his illustrations for "The Willow Pattern Story," an American Bookseller "Pick of the Lists" children's book that is still in print after 16 years. He has since written, illustrated and published seven more titles. In 2006, Houghton Mifflin published "The Journey that Saved Curious George," which includes nearly 40 of Drummond's illustrations, to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the "Curious George" books.

  Eileen Gray Lithograph

  Eileen Gray was one of the pioneers who created what we now call “modern design” during the 1920s and 1930s. The lone woman in this pioneering Valhalla, her name is pronounced in the same breath as Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer. Her tubular-steel furniture was revolutionary in its day and is now accepted as classic. In the second stage of her creative career, Eileen Gray switched to architecture and continued producing masterpieces. She was an artist of epoch-making significance and her career culminated in 1972 with her appointment by the Royal Society of Art in London, as Royal Designer to Industry.

  In the 1980’s, Nall would eventually go on to purchase the Karoly Foundation in Vence, France, and rechristen it the N.A.L.L. Art Association.  During his illustrious career, Nall has published numerous books and exhibited all over the world.   In 2005 he completed building his studio in Fairhope, Alabama, where he lives and invites apprentices to work with him.  Nall spends his summers in France at the N.A.L.L.   Hevda Ser Necklace

  Hedva Ser is a contemporary artist well-known for her sculpture, tapestry and jewelry. It was through “the Grande Chaumiere” that Hedva Ser gained admission to Nissim de Camondo’s Art School in Paris and to Horney College in London.
  
  She began as a painter and sculptor and then took up tapestry, which she developed in her own way by introducing a new technique of sculptural relief. As a student of Alicia Penalba, Hedva Ser is inspired by nature which reveals both power and poetry, tenderness and astonishment.  Each of her creations is an invitation to go on a journey.   Gregory Eltringham graduated from the Art Institute of Boston, received a B.A. from Northeastern University, and an M.F.A. in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He then went on to teach in Florida and Missouri for fifteen years before moving back to Savannah where he is currently a professor of painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He travels extensively during the year, conducting research for his studio and teaching practice, and tours in support of his sound-based collaborative project The Tenderloin Trio. His paintings have been exhibited in numerous solo, two-person and group exhibitions throughout the United States. His work has been reviewed in the Kansas City Star and Art Papers, and, in 2001, he was selected for publication in New American Paintings Midwest Competition. Recent exhibitions include a solo exhibition at Union College, Arts Atrium Gallery / Visual Arts Department, in Schenectady NY; and Horsepower, a two-person show with Brooklyn artist Matt Blackwell at Gallery See, Savannah College of Art and Design, Atlanta, Ga.

  Emma Willis, a London-based designer, trained at London’s Slade School of Art before starting her business in 1987, designing and making men's shirts. In 1999 she opened her elegant and intimate shop on Jermyn Street. Her philosophy is beautiful make, adhering to the original traditions of English shirt-making, using luxurious Italian and Swiss cottons, silks and linens, many of which are exclusive to her collections. In the 17th century, when a  piece of fabric was chosen specific to a person’s measurements, it was said to “be spoken for,” hence Emma’s creation of “bespoke” shirts. Her bespoke or custom shirts are designed exclusively to suit the individual’s taste with a variety of fabrics and styles to choose from.

  A truly one of a kind opportunity, commission famous painter Dan Adel to create a single likeness as either a portrait, or in the style of one of his famous caricatures.   Daniel Adel (b.1962) graduated from Dartmouth College in 1984 with a degree in art history and continued his studies at the National Academy of Design, as well as the Hunter College Master of Fine Arts program in New York City. While developing his own work, his commissioned projects have been featured in the pages of The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and The New York Times, among others. His work has also appeared on the covers of many magazines in the United States and abroad, including The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Newsweek and Time, for whom he painted the Man of the Year cover in 2004. He has also been commissioned to paint the managing editor of Time and the editor-in-chief of Der Spiegel and Vanity Fair. In 2005 Mr. Adel opened the Atelier Rue Basse, a gallery and studio in the village of Lacoste in Provence where he shows his watercolors and photographs.
