Academy Award winner for Scientific Achievement and educator
Jerry Tessendorf teaches visual computing and is the director of the digital production arts program at Clemson University. Tessendorf earned his Ph.D. in physics from Brown University, and his research focuses on fluid dynamics, radiative transfer and production workflow for feature films. He developed new movie production techniques and software for 15 years at Rhythm & Hues Studios and Cinesite. In 2008, he received an Academy Award for Technical Achievement.
