Christian Cota

Christian Cota studied painting before embarking on a career in fashion. After graduating Parsons The New School For Design in 2005, he founded his eponymous company in 2007. Cota's first collection incorporated the designer's early influences: the simplistic grace of nature, a blend of organic forms with clean shapes.

Cota received Fashion Group International's Women's Ready to Wear Rising Star Award, and The Museum at Fashion Institute of Technology has featured his work. The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue named him a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist in 2010.
