Over the past several years SCAD alumnus Mark Mahaney (B.F.A., photography, 2001) has garnered acclaim for his stunning images of some of today's most influential creative individuals for such prestigious publications as The New York Times, Time Magazine and Art+Auction, to name but a few. "Studio Visit" focuses on Mahaney's distinctive ability to capture seemingly straightforward yet intimate and rich portraits of artists and designers who are impacting the creative field today.
On view are close-ups and studio shots of such esteemed artists as Cai Guo-Qiang, Christian Marclay, Karim Rashid, Tom Sachs, Kara Walker and Alexander Wang, among others.
Reception: Thursday April 19, 6-7 p.m.
