Jim Neel Exhibition: "The Systems of Conflict"

Nov. 09 – Nov. 23, 2011

Hall Street Gallery | 212 W. Hall St., Savannah, Ga.

SCAD presents "The Systems of Conflict," a solo exhibition honoring the 2010 Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC) Fellowship Award recipient, artist Jim Neel. In both his sculpture and photography, Neel offers observations on the universal physical, psychological and spiritual effects of feudal military systems. Neel gathers stories of the shared experiences from those living within systems of conflict in Central American countries, and through his bold, detailed renderings of human and animal imagery, conveys his own interpretations of war and its impact on the world.

This exhibition is held in conjunction with the 2011 SECAC Conference hosted at SCAD.

Note: private reception on Nov. 11 from 7-9 p.m. in conjunction with the SECAC gallery hop.

Gallery hours: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
