Trois Gallery | SCAD Atlanta, 1600 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, Ga.
Mar. 04 – Apr. 29, 2011
Pei Ling Chan Gallery | 322 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Savannah, Ga.
The SCAD exhibitions department presents "Momentary Suspension," a solo show featuring a site-specific cut-paper installation as well as watercolors and two-dimensional studies by internationally renowned artist Andreas Kocks. The show exemplifies the frozen moments captured in his acclaimed "paperworks" that suspend dynamically from the gallery walls. The activity of the imagery - like paint splattering off the wall - visually belies the artist's careful process of siting the piece in architectural space. Free and open to the public, this exhibition is part of the
2011 deFINE ART program.
