SCAD Displays Don Kurka's Photography "Arrangements" From Around the World Dec. 5-28

12/5/2006 The Savannah College of Art and Design hosts "Arrangements," a photography exhibition by painter and photographer Don Kurka featuring natural and man-made arrangements from around the world, Dec. 5–28 at Pei Ling Chan Gallery, 324 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Savannah, Ga. The exhibition is free and open to the public."Arrangements," is a collection of photographs using traditional film technology with no manipulation. Four themes make up these photographs: nature, still life, memorials and people. Kurka is a professor emeritus and retired head of the University of Tennessee School of Art in Knoxville, where he served from 1977–92. He was the director of fine arts at Long Island University in Southampton Center, N.Y. Kurka's work is represented in numerous corporate collections including IBM, BellSouth, TVA, the Hyatt Corporation and many private collections. For more information, contact 912.525.5527.
