"Reorder" at Red Gallery

8/19/2005 SAVANNAH, GA. — The Savannah College of Art and Design presents “Reorder,” a mixed media exhibition that explores how artists process information about their environments and the objects, concepts and ideals found within them to create unique works of art, Aug. 19–Sept. 27, at Red Gallery, 201 E. Broughton St. The exhibition will be featured on the college’s monthly gallery hop, Friday, Sept. 16, 5–7 p.m. The exhibition and gallery hop are free and open to the public.“Reorder” features photography, paintings, fibers and other mixed media to explain how artists develop work based on their surroundings. Artists whose work is featured in the exhibition include alumni Michael Brown (M.F.A., painting, 1996), Clifford Hedin (B.F.A., fibers, 2003), Fred Jesser (M.F.A, painting, 2003), foundation studies professor Avantika Bawa, foundation studies professor Sandra Burke, and illustration professor Craig Drennen, as well as students Nathan Abels, Michelle Barczac, Penny Brice, Kim Clement, Jason Hedges, Stephen Horcha, David Howe, Allison McElroy and Kevin Strickland.
