4/14/2006 SAVANNAH, GA. — The Savannah College of Art and Design presents “Bridge,” an exhibition featuring artwork by students in a Chinese painting class, April 14-May 8 at Alexander Hall Gallery, 669 Indian St. The exhibition is free and open to the public.An annual exhibition, “Bridge,” features artwork representing a connection the painting class built between Eastern and Western culture using traditional Chinese painting techniques and subjects from a contemporary viewpoint. The class introduced subjects that lend themselves to traditional Chinese painting techniques, where variations in ink, color and texture are achieved through the use of a brushstroke.
