4/8/2006

SAVANNAH, GA. — A showcase of student and alumni work will be on display during the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Open Studio Night, Saturday, April 8, 5-8 p.m. at Alexander Hall, 668 Indian St. The event, held every fall and spring, features work in painting, printmaking and ceramics.

Attendees will have an opportunity to tour more than 65 painting studios and view the 2006 Senior Painting Show. Student work created through the New York Workspace Opportunity and SCAD-Lacoste programs also will be on display, as well as selected work from painting alumni. Guests can talk with visiting artist Nan Freeman, Ph.D., while enjoying printmaking and painting demonstrations, refreshments and live music. Original artwork will be available for purchase during the event.
