“Aziz + Cucher”
Pei Ling Chan Gallery, 322 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Synaptic Bliss is a four-channel video and sound environment that evokes the four seasons as well as the cycles of life in a world halfway between organic and digital. This installation explores ideas of a digital consciousness that allows for the simultaneous perception of multiple perspectives and scales, as well as the blurring of the distinctions between the body and its environment. Anthony Aziz and Sammy Cucher have been collaborating on and exhibiting digital photography, sculpture, video and architectural installation works since 1991. Considered pioneers in the field of digital imaging, Aziz + Cucher have displayed their work in major museums and institutions both in the U.S. and abroad.
