American Illustration exhibition commemorates 25 years

1/19/2007 Illustrations commemorating the last 25 years of America’s finest illustrations will be on display at Savannah College of Art and Design Jan. 19-Feb. 9 at Hall Street Gallery, 212 West Hall St., Savannah, Ga. The exhibition is free and open to the public Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.American Illustration, the leader of juried annuals in the illustration industry, is highlighting 25 contemporary artists for its 25th anniversary. Each artist presented an image that defined modern time. The artists were commissioned to illustrate one year of American Illustration’s publishing history from 1982-2006. American Illustration has celebrated notable illustrators, such as Sue Coe, Milton Glaser, Al Hirschfeld and Andy Warhol in past annuals. Media inquiries may contact 912.525.5158.
