8:30–10:30 p.m.
SCAD will present a special screening of Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window." The Student Activities Council will transform Savannah's historic Forsyth Park into an outdoor movie theater for Films in Forsyth. The event starts at 8:30 p.m. with the film beginning at dusk. Films in Forsyth is free and open to the public. For more information, e-mail aeisner@scad.edu.

Depart from Poetter Hall, 342 Bull St.
Tours of SCAD, including academic facilities, are conducted at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission information and portfolio counseling, as well as federal/state aid and scholarship information, are available after the tours. Family Breakfast in the Park
9:30–11 a.m.
Parents will have the opportunity to talk with other parents, SCAD faculty and institutional advancement staff. There will be a short program at 9:45 a.m., followed by a complimentary breakfast at 10 a.m. The Parents Association will also have an information table available 11 a.m.–4p.m. SCAD Mom and SCAD Dad t-shirts will be available for sale in the souvenir tent. SCAD Ceramics Club Pottery Sale
South end of Forsyth Park
10 a.m.–5 p.m.
The SCAD ceramics club will hold a pottery sale during the Sidewalk Arts Festival, located at the south end of Forsyth Park in front of Brighter Day Grocery. Mugs, bowls, jars, pots and some work from the printmaking department will be available for purchase.

The annual festival offers a student and alumni chalk art competition and children’s and youth drawing areas for young artists. Food and drinks and live entertainment also are featured as part of the festivities. Admission is free and open to the public. Can't make the festival? - Slide presentation, 2–3 p.m. — View work by contemporary chalk artists, "madonnari"(street painters) and past festival winners. Discuss content, composition and color usage. (limit 30 participants)
- Hands-on workshop, 3–4:30 p.m. — Review rules and guidelines for participants. Learn how to transfer designs to the sidewalk quickly with time management tips. The workshop will explore chalk techniques such as grinding chalk to make ”paint” and layering techniques. Participants will be able to practice techniques. (limit 20 participants)
- Drawing and design tutors will be on hand to help with correcting perspective, composition or proportion problems in designs.
