SCAD presents the annual Sidewalk Arts Festival April 26, 2008. This popular event features a chalk drawing competition on the sidewalks of Savannah's centerpiece, beautiful Forsyth Park. Drawing competition entries will be judged and awarded prizes. The event also includes food, and children's and youth areas for young artists as well as live music throughout the day.
Admission is free and open to the public. The chalk competition features categories for students, alumni and prospective students. Throughout the weekend, special events are offered for alumni, prospective students and families of current SCAD students.
Alumni booth
SCAD alumni can visit the alumni booth to sign in for their squares, update their contact information, receive food and drink coupons, receive alumni T-shirts, sign up for SCAD tags, and discuss the Alumni Association and changes at SCAD. Also, a limited supply of tote bags from one of our local alumni-owned businesses will be distributed. For more information, call 912.525.5865.
