Update: Ryan Duhaime Advances to the National Competition

The regional-level ADDY Awards produced several more winners among SCAD student entrants. Undergraduate students Emily Clark, Melissa Constandse and Kristen Mattes won Silver awards, and Ryan Duhaime added two more Gold ADDY Awards to his collection, advancing him to the national competition. Winners of the national competition will be announced June 11 at the national convention in San Francisco, Calif.

At left: Dean of undergraduate studies Kevin Conlon, visual effects and broadcast design and motion graphics double major student Ryan Duhaime, and advertising design chair David Foote. Duhaime won Best in Show at the Savannah ADDY Awards. His entry, a 30-second commercial for Prius, signifies the "natural progression" of owning a Prius hybrid car, in that the car is the way of the future and its surroundings grow and flourish. The piece was created and polished during the entire 10 weeks of fall quarter 2006.
