SCADDY Awards 2008Eligibility
  • The competition is open to all SCAD students.
  • Work may be developed specifically for this competition or submitted from class projects completed during winter, spring, summer or fall quarters of 2008.
  • June 2008 graduates are eligible to submit work developed during the winter and spring quarters of 2008.
  • Work must have been created while the entrant is/was a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Atlanta or via SCAD-eLearning.
  • Work created for paying clients will not be accepted.
Submissions
  • There is no fee to enter.
  • Students may submit as many entries as they want, in any category.
  • Work must be submitted in digital format.
  • Only digital files on a CD accompanied by entry forms will be accepted.
  • Acceptable file formats are PDF, JPEG, TIF or QuickTime.
  • Digital photographs and a flat proof must be submitted for 3-D work.
  • An entry form must be completed for each entry.
  • All entries must be in an envelope with the CD or DVD and completed entry form.
  • For each category entered, create one CD or DVD. You may include multiple files on a CD or DVD but all of the files must be entered in the same category.
  • Entry forms are available in Savannah from the advertising design administrative office, Adler Hall, Room 319, 532 Indian St.; in Atlanta from Professor Judy Salzinger, Room 341 or online.
  • Entries may be submitted in Savannah to the advertising design administrative office, Adler Hall, Room 319, 532 Indian St.; or in Atlanta to Professor Judy Salzinger, Room 341.
  • The deadline for all entry submissions is Friday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m.
File Formats
  • Only PDF files for ALL print work
  • QuickTime for TV or radio categories
  • Word documents for copywriting categories
  • URL or complete HTML files for the Web categories
  • Flash or working files for online/interactive/gaming categories

Judging
For each category, two awards may be given: a Gold and a Silver SCADDY. A panel of independent advertising professionals will judge the submissisons during the December 2008 break. Nominees will be posted in The Chronicle and on www.scad.edu at the start of winter quarter 2009. Gold and Silver winners will be announced and awarded at the show. Finalists and winners will be automatically entered into the local ADDY Awards. Contact any advertising design professor for additional information.
