The School of Building Arts Lecture Series presents Jeffrey Simpson, former contributing editor of Architectural Digest. Simpson’s lecture, “Light and Color Throughout the Centuries,” will cover how light and color affect and reflect our moods, emotions and feelings. For centuries these silent yet powerful communicators have influenced interior design around the world and echoed and encouraged social and cultural norms.

Simpson served as contributing editor of Architectural Digest for 20 years and has authored numerous books on design including “Rose Cumming: A Life in Design.”

The event is free and open to the public.

Students, staff and faculty may view presentations through SCAD eLearning’s Livestream and the Virtual Lecture Hall.
