Wednesday, July 30-Monday, Sept. 22, 2014
Raleigh, North Carolina-based Artspace invites artists working in craft media to submit works for "Fine Contemporary Craft Exhibition of the Southeastern US," a biennial national juried exhibition.
Artists with ties to the Southeast who work in a variety of media are encouraged to submit functional or sculptural works in the following categories: basketry, ceramics, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, handmade paper and wood.
All work must be original and you may enter no more than two pieces. Submit images through callforentry.org, and the work submitted must be available for exhibition if selected.
Artspace will retain a commission of 30 percent of the retail price of each work sold from the exhibition. However, work in the exhibition does not have to be for sale.
All accepted entries will be listed in an exhibition brochure and cash prizes up to $750 will be awarded for Best in Show, second and third places and honorable mention.
Fine art media such as painting, photography and lithography is only eligible if incorporated into submissions in the categories described above. Decorated furniture, candles, pressed flowers, handmade reproductions and objects made from commercial kits or commercially available plans will not be accepted.
