Join us for a pre-release film screening of "Eye of the Hurricane," a compelling family drama about a small Everglades community struggling to put their lives back together in the wake of a devastating hurricane.
In the spirit of such films as "Stand By Me" and “To Kill A Mockingbird," "Hurricane" is told through the eyes of a determined child, a troubled adolescent, a wounded parent and a loyal friend. Starring Campbell Scott, Melanie Lynskey, Brian Doyle-Murray, Nicola Peltz and Colin Ford.
The program will include an introduction by and Q-and-A session with SCAD film and television professor Jesse Wolfe, the film's writer and director.
Small plates are $6 each, with wine and beer available for $5 per glass. A small plate, drink and gallery admission combined is $10.
This event is free for SCAD ID holders and museum members, and free and open to the public with the cost of museum admission.
