Dramatic Writing

Immersed in the School of Film, Digital Media and Performing Arts, SCAD dramatic writing students work closely with students and professors in related degree programs. The dramatic writing curriculum stresses the mastery of style and structure of inventive playwriting and screenwriting.

Encompassed in talent

Dramatic writing students are surrounded by actors, directors, designers, animators and other artists who can turn their scripts or screenplays into polished productions. Students learn to write for new media, short films, features and television, as well as one-act and full-length stage plays. Through learning how to write for performances on screen and stage, and by developing diverse portfolios of work, alumni gain entry into professional entertainment and advertising industries.

Dramatic writing is offered in Savannah.
