Nicola López

Nicola López (b. 1975, Santa Fe, New Mexico) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, and teaches at Columbia University. Through her work in installation, drawing and printmaking, López describes and reconfigures our contemporary and primarily urban landscape. Her focus on describing "place" stems from an interest in urban planning, architecture and anthropology, and it has been fueled by time spent working and traveling in different landscapes.

López’s site-specific work "Un-building Things" is currently on view at the Balcony Lounge at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
